Getting Ready for Summer!!
Our Club
All Seasons Ski Club (ASSC) is one of twenty-three clubs within the Western Region of the National Brotherhood of Skiers, Inc. (NBS). All Seasons Ski Club (ASSC) was formed in 1972 by a small pioneering group of African American skiers who encountered few like themselves on the slopes. In 1974, ASSC and eleven other ski clubs across the U. S., founded our national umbrella organization the NBS. Our initial goal was to meet and ski with other African Americans across the country. The organization’s goals were eventually expanded to reflect its desire to identify, develop, and support athletes of color who will win international and Olympic winter sports competitions representing the United States. Against numerous odds, each year we get closer to realizing this dream.
Our Affiliation
National Brotherhoods of Skiers - NBS The National Brotherhood of Skiers, Inc. (NBS) was founded in February 1973 in Aspen, Colorado and incorporated in 1975. The NBS began as thirteen black ski clubs from across the nation, which met annually to ski. Since that time the organization has grown to 84 clubs. The NBS has created youth ski development programs and encourages gifted young skiers toward national competition.
