President's Message
Happy 35th Anniversary All Seasons!!,
What started as a small gathering of people has evolved into 60+ clubs across the United States and Europe. We will celebrate our existence as one of the founding clubs of the NBS in grand style at the Marriott in Oakland on October 13th. We only celebrate with a party like this every five yrs. so buy your tickets and lets have some fun.

Annual BBQ and Softball Challenge
Well the threat of rain kept most of you away from the Park on Saturday the 22nd of September but for those that dared to venture out found sunshine, good food and drink in Antioch. We played cards, had our first mix-master contest and threw in a softball game just for fun. I want to thank U2CANSKI from Stockton who was the only other ski club to take a chance. Skip brought his softball team, we put together ours and we played. His members now know Elan up close and personal. Whether there was a play at the plate or not, Elan took out Skip's members one by one, it wasn't a pretty site.

It may be still warm outside but you can't fool Mother Nature, look at the leaves falling, the trees know. Pretty soon we will be blessed with the white fluffy stuff in the Sierras, we will start weather report watching. We will smile when we hear of low pressure systems and inclement weather because after all, we are a ski club.

WINTER CARNIVAL '08 HEAVENLY SKI RESORT
Time to start planning for Winter Carnival in Tahoe, it is going to be special, the snow will be great and the parties will be "off da hook" Register, make your reservations and get the SUV winterized. Call your friends and family and lets Caravan up the mountain. Great place to ski and gamble with unbelievable scenery from the top of Heavenly, you can ski in Nevada and California all in one day. Join the President's and Heavenly staff for "First Tracks" On the lift by 7:30, ski with a mountain guide with no lift lines up to a fabulous breakfast at mid-mountain. If have never done this you are in for a treat, the whole mountain belongs to you because the resort doesn't officially open for another hour or so. Contact your trip leader for more info.

All Seasons Club jackets and pants:
You need to be current with your deposit for the item(s) ordered because your order will arrive in approx. 5 weeks. At that time or before you should be paid in full. I don't want to look for you, you look for me.

October is FIRE PREVENTION & BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

FIRE SAFETY MESSAGES OF THE MONTH:

Security bars can block your escape // Know two ways out of every building

Be sure to come out for our General meeting which will be a kick off celebration for the 35th and a Bon Voyage for the Costa Rica participants.

In closing I want to thank everyone the came out to the Annual Member BBQ: Stan and Rene`, Elan and her Mom, Keith, Cynthia and baby Kylah, Keith's Mom & the boys, DeWayne, Joel, Sedalia, Patsy, Cynthia, Marc, Debi, Scotty and his wife, Carla the "Oyster lady" and friend, Prescott and friend, Robbi, Joan, and Clare. A special thanks to Skip Roberts, President of U2CANSKI of Stockton for bringing his crew to the park.

Gary D. Garrett,
President, All Seasons Ski Club
