Retriement President's Message

Hello All Seasons
Well Summit has passed and Winter Carnival is upon us, local mountain with plenty of snow, yes good times are right around the corner. All Seasons is leading the way again with over 70 registrants.

SUMMIT ’08 BRECENRIDGE, CO
How shall I put this? It was cold, I mean give your lift ticket away cold. I am past the point where I feel guilty if I have a lift ticket and don’t ski. I has to be fun people, frostbite on my ears just from skiing down the mountain is not fun. We had a small contingent of people but all in all every clubs numbers were down. With only 883 registered for this Summit. I don’t feel we will have to worry about Summit being in early January for some time. SUMMIT ’09 WILL BE AT SNOWMASS, CO JAN 31-FEB 7TH.

WINTER CARNIVAL ’08 HEAVENLY SO. LAKE TAHOE

Its all good and its on, the skiing will be fantastic and the parties will be hot. The Western Region Board and President’s have signed on to give you what you have expect from the west. I am so proud of you, you voiced your opinion of Summit loud and clear and you have came through for your region and youth with big numbers for Winter Carnival. Make sure you show love for those clubs that are traveling long distances: Black Ski of D.C. and Southern Snow Seekers of the ATL.

Errol Kerr Skiercross Rookie
Did you see him on ESPN at the X-Games? He did great. Out of a total field of 38+ skiers Errol took a solid 5th. He was so excited, he is new to this event and in only his third Skiercross he made the finals. I am in Utah as I write this message to see Errol compete in the Visa Freestyle FIS World Cup Skiercross event at Deer Valley. This is the big time people, he is competing against the best in the world, and like he said” This is what we dream about, right” I have no doubt Errol will own this event real soon.

ALL SEASONS TRIFECTA
During the President’s Dinner at Summit we, All Seasons Ski Club was awarded the President’s Award for the most outstand ing club in the NBS. Errol Kerr was awarded the “Bonnie St. John” award for most outstanding athlete in the NBS and Prescott Reavis was awarded the “Hall of Fame award for his commitment as an youth athlete and tireless work with National as well as Regional youth racers.

Errol Who?
EXPN interviews Errol Kerr, January 25th, 7:00 pm - Carrie Sheinberg
Do you know me? I'm the guy who just kicked your ass. The name's Kerr. Errol Kerr. Time to meet Errol Kerr. He had the biggest fan club out on the X Course today, even though nobody knew who he was. Funny how fast winning a qualifying run will take care of that.

EK: This is only my fifth skiercross ever.
EXPN: So you did some last year?
EK: I did one last year. I raced the Honda Ski Tour when it came to Squaw Valley. I'm an alpine ski racer; that's what I've been doing since I was ten years old. But when the Ski Tour came to Squaw, a bunch of my friends talked me into doing it, and I qualified first. I thought, 'this is pretty cool,' so I went into the race. And then I realized I just couldn't race next to people. They were pushing me around and stuff, I wasn't ready for that. So I ended up 7th there.

EXPN: What was about racing next to people that was so different for you?
