Gary
President's Message
Hello All Seasons,

The Western Region and Your President needs your help, we need you to sign up, support and register for Winter Carnival ’08 in South Lake Tahoe. I have understand your displeasure with ’08 AMCC taking place during the MLK weekend but I hope you will support AMCC as you have in the past years. I will be there with the rest of the All Seasons troopers.

However if AMCC doesn't fit into your schedule or budget:

I have a Solution! Winter Carnival Feb. 6-10, 2008, it is a local event and I guarantee a good time. It’s in our own backyard so it is your choice when to come up, what type of lodging and how many days you want to ski. You have control on the amount of money you spend; I just need you to register!! We don’t want to be one of those Western Region clubs that registers less people than any of Eastern Region clubs that will be in attendance.

Did you know that Heavenly has added four more lifts, eleven snowmaking machines and for those of you who did not get enough of it in Costa Rica…….. a high speed zip line with speeds up to 50mph, a 525 ft vertical drop, the longest in the lower 48 states.

Your Winter Carnival registration dollars keep the region running as well as provide funding for our youth racers. Whether National or Regional we are all volunteers and an enormous amount of time, effort and energy goes into setting up an event such as this.

If you like saying you belong to this organization, if you like to showcase your club attire in front of other clubs, if you like saying you are in All Seasons Ski Club, then support Winter Carnival ’08 in South Lake Tahoe. Thanks in advance,

Costa Rica

Costa Rica --- I made it home.

The journey was to a Costa Rican resort on the Pacific Coast. There where about 34 of us from All Seasons Ski club and about 280 folks from other clubs. We had a six hour flight to San Salvador, a one hour flight to San Jose Costa Rica,a three hour bus ride, followed by a one hour ferry ride, then another one hour bus ride to the resort. The roads were pretty rough and in many places, only one vehicle could pass at a time. The resort was an all-inclusive. Which was one of the only reasons I went, cause y'all know I am broke! The hotel was surrounded by jungle, tropical gardens and the ocean. Raccoons, bats, giant lizards, crickets & other creatures of nature walked around like resort guests. The resort was not the 5 Star quality as other places I have stayed. The food was mediocre and the drinks weak and tasteless (which was good because I did not need to get drunk). Others in the group went zip lining through the trees (like Tarzan), snorkeling, horseback riding, hiking & shopping. I decided not to be my usual adventurous self & settled in by the pool with my laptop in hand. The only reason to go to Costa Rica is the rain forest, but you can go to the rain forest all over the equator! Click here to read more....
