GaryWC President's Message

Hello All Seasons

Spring is in the air!
That must mean its time for our Annual Culinary Event of the year: All Seasons “Kings of the Kitchen” and General meeting. Yes ladies bring your appetites because the men are cooking up something special for you. The menu will be varied and extensive. It will come from French cookbooks and your mama’s kitchen, hell some of it may come from Safeway but don’t hate on them, they do work all day.

23RD ANNUAL HEAVENLY / SIERRA WEEKENDER minus Jama Jam
Oh what a great time we had. Can you say “we don’t need no music”? Yes people we are a ski club first and we skied our hearts out. If this was your last ski trip of the season, you should have no regrets, if you still plan to ski, it will be hard to beat Sunday the 16th. After coming down that last run on Sunday at Sierra-at-Tahoe I can honestly say we left nothing on that mountain, we did it all. We skied flats, bumps, steeps and trees. When we were through we looked back at that mountain and looked at each other and smiled, because we knew we had done it all.

SUMMER CARNIVAL ’08
The dates and the place are set; we will bring our fun in the sun to the beautiful LaQuinta Resort in LaQuinta, CA. We will convene on this resort on August 7th-10th for Tennis, Golf, Room jumping, Theme Parties, and Pool games. Don’t miss out on this Western Region event; see your All Seasons trip Leader.

STEPPIN’ CHICAGO STYLE
Yes ladies, your All Seasons Gentlemen have been learning the fine art of steppin’. Twice a week we get together with long-time member James McGee and his CGC crew in our quest to become smooth gentlemen of style and grace on the dance floor. Don’t be surprised if you walk by Kerry Moses, Joel Burks, Michael Steinback, Cap’n Paul, Ricardo Thomas or me and we gently grab your hand and give to a twirl.

ERROL KERR
While most of us are winding down or have put our skis away for the season Errol still has an aggressive agenda for his quest to become an Olympian. After returning from Europe, Errol headed straight for Sun Valley for the last stop on the Jeep Skiercross Tour where he took an impressive sixth place. In the coming month he will compete in the Slalom, Giant Slalom, Downhill and Super G.

FIRE SAFETY MESSAGES OF THE MONTH:
Practice exit drills in the home//If there’s a fire in your home, get out and stay out! Note: Did you change your smoke detector battery when you changed your clock?

In closing I want to thank my co-trip leader Michael Lewis for his help on the Heavenly/Sierra trip and very special thanks to Jerode Lawrence who is always there for me on my trip even though he is a fully paid participant.

Live long, Ski hard
Gary Garrett,
President
