Presidents Message....

Hello All Seasons

It’s getting hot out here, so…………. Summer is upon us and your All Seasons activities committee is in the process of finalizing an impressive to do list for you to peruse and add to your calendar. It has a little something for everyone and will take you all the way into the rest of the fiscal year.

SUMMER CARNIVAL 2010 LAQUINTA, CA AUG 20-22
WR Director Sharon Sargeant has put together a good package with great prices to get you to the event. LaQuinta is a very nice resort that boasts over 40 pools and 4-star lodging. Activities include golf, pool games, night parties, free happy hours and card & dominoes tournaments. Grab a couple of roomies or come on your own and take part in a sun and fun filled weekend.

WINTER CARNIVAL 2011 HEAVENLY SKI RESORT MLK WEEKEND
Yes we are headed back to Heavenly, a resort we know and love, a resort that gladly opened their arms and welcomed us back. The President’s voted not to go to Mammoth Mountain after the mountain went back on their promise of discounts on lift tickets and lodging for the Western Region. Couple that with the fact that Mammoth lift tickets are running over $90+ per day and this was a no-brainer.
The Region has further decided to bring back the ever so popular $99 early registration. Now how you gonna beat that? This is win, win, see your trip leader.

SUMMIT 2011 STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO FEB 25-MAR 5
Where have all the Mono-skiers gone? I don’t know about the last Summit, but they will be at Steamboat. This great resort has blessed the NBS with unbelievable snowfall our last two Summits there. This is my favorite mountain in Colorado. Yes, I like it more than Vail, which is a close 2nd. Egypt and Brazil are in the past, I need my club, my skiers at Steamboat; it’s been lonely out there the past few years with just a sprinkling of the red, black and white on the mountain. Lodging is open, see trip leader Karen Allen for info, sign-ups, lodging and payments, Remember if you registered last year, the NBS is thanking you by offering $150 full week registrations.

MALLORY DUNCAN ALL NBS/ALL SEASONS ATHLETE
Mallory is college bound; he has accepted an invitation to attend UVM the University of Vermont which is located in the college town of Burlington, Vermont. He was accepted by 8 colleges, Mallory only applied to colleges with strong ski programs. He did a school visit in February and was impressed by the academic environment and ski program. Good luck Mallory, we are proud of you!

ASSC CLUB JACKETS/PANTS by SPYDER
I have a deadline order date of July 7th for 2010 club gear. Jackets are $265 and matching Pants are $200. A 50% deposit is due at time of order. Call me for info and orders placement.

FIRE MESSAGE OF THE MONTH:
Think water safety, teach your kids to swim

Remember: BBQ Meeting in the Park, July 7th, 5:00pm
Dimond Park in Oakland, address is on Hanley but we will be on the Fruitvale Ave side just beyond the tennis courts. Summertime Sangrias will be served. Oh, there will be food also.

Peace,
Gary

NBS Summit 2011
 Steamboat, Colorado
February 26 - March 5, 2011

I know, I know; You haven’t even taken your Summer vacation yet and here I am talking about Summit 2011. Lodging for Summit opened up on June 1st and 23 clubs have already started booking so I’m really late.

All Seasons will begin booking our lodging this Friday, June 18th. You need to have $150.00 in to me by then in order to be in the running. Get your roommate together and have them get their money in at the same time as you or you will automatically be put in a room of your own (aka single supp).

The NBS will be set up at the Steamboat Grand Resort & Conference Center (same as 2007). Some events will be held there also. If you wish to book it’s more than the $150 deposit so you need to call me.

We will stay in the Dulany, Kutuk & Ptarmigan locations.

If you know you're planning to bring 10 people and want an entire unit, DO NOT send in $125.00. You need to call or email me for the correct deposit amount.

Early Registration is $210.00, Senior Registration (70+) is $135.

Make checks out to ASSC, mail to me, your trip leader, at the address below.
